Hey guys! I love mangoes to the core and wanted to make the most of them while they last. I have been experimenting with a few recipes and have been absolutely loving them! One of my recent favorite has been the Mango Salsa. It is amazing with chips,  Nachos, Tacos, or on its own.

I hope you enjoy it as much as I did…

Lots of love.

My Current Favorite Teas

Hey-lloo beautiful people! How are you all doing? Today’s post is a lil unusual but its very me.. I’ve missed writing random posts and hence have gotten back on track with them! You’ll see many of these popping in future posts 😉

I’ve gotten quiet a few mails regarding my favorite teas/ recommendations. So I thought why not show you all a peak of my favorite teas at the moment.!

Jay Jasmine Green Tea : This has been an old favorite, it has mild jasmine taste [kind of obvious :P] . I like to sip on this quiet often. Its a nice break from  regular green tea. And also a good try for people who don’t like the taste of plain green tea. But if you don’t fancy jasmine, skip this. An alternative would be the peppermint version.

La plant Chamomile Lemongrass: I’ve reviewed tea from this brand earlier as well. This one is loose tea, not ideal for on the go. What I really like about this particular flavor is the balance of chamomile and Lemongrass. It is sweet with hints of lemongrass..  Refreshing and ideal after a stressful day to calm down.

Tea-Me Apple Cinnamon : I really was keen on trying some fruit teas. I tried this when I was on a break with green/earl/english..etc tea… And picked this randomly while shopping and I must say I wasn’t disappointed. This baby is y-u-m-m-y. I love the cinnamon flavor which is kind of dominating with hints of apple. I’ve got no complaints with that, because I heart cinnamon.

Bio Food Red Tea: This again was a random try, this tea is marketed as “Red Tea” So I obviously was like what in the world is a red tea?! And the next immediate thing I did was “Add to cart” > Checkout > Delivered > Tear open the package > Make some Red Tea! BUT lemme tell you something this is no exceptional red tea.. its rooibos tea. Rooibos tea has many health benefits, like many other teas. So if you are curious to give it a go… you should! Although this might not be liked by everyone… Now obviously not everything can taste like chocolate or cold coffee or as good as pizza 😛

I am so off track right now, but you get the jist.. I’d say to be on the safe side try the Apple cinnamon first, if cinnamon is your thing . You’ll love it!

Peace Out! 😉

P.S Do let me know if you want me to post the links for buying these online <3

Himalayan Chamomile Tea :

Price: Rs 220

Preparation: Bring water to boil, use teaspoon per cup and let it steep for 5 minutes or longer. Cover the pot or cup with lid to preserve the oils of the infusion. Strain or serve with plain honey.

My Experience: This tea made me happy dance. I was delighted to see the lil flowers, pure and pretty! I ve always had a bitter-sweet relationship with chamomile tea in tea bags, it has never been my favorite. This tea was an absolute pleasure to sip in. It’s mild and everything that a chamomile tea should be. I like this better without honey. You can make it sweeter by adding honey.

Himalayan Chamomile – Lemongrass Tea :

Price: Rs 220/50 grms

Preparation: Bring water to boil, use teaspoon per cup and let it steep for 5 minutes or longer. Cover the pot or cup with lid to preserve the oils of the infusion. Strain or serve with plain honey.

My Experience: I love lemongrass tea in general for feeling refreshed and freshen up a dull day. A mix between two of my favorite teas! Chamomile and Lemongrass, this tea is refreshing and has a punch of mild chamomile-ness to it. It is a great balance for people who find lemongrass strong/overpowering. This tea is like a mix of north and south. Plus its great for health!

Himalayan Nettle – Lemongrass Tea –

Price: Rs 220/50 grms.

Preparation : Bring water to boil, use teaspoon per cup and let it steep for 5 minutes or longer. Cover the pot or cup with lid to preserve the oils of the infusion. Strain or serve with plain honey.

My Experience: Nettle tea is rich in minerals and has lots of various benefits. [ Did you know it has been put to use at least since 3 BC !] This was my first try at nettle and lemongrass tea. And I must say Its refreshing! The nettle isn’t very over powering and like their earlier mix, there is a good balance between the citric lemongrass taste with subtle nettle. You can always add honey to enhance the taste.

Diggin Cafe Delhi  Review

Hey Guys, Recently I visited the much loved, college students approved, Diggin Cafe in Anand Lok, Here’s my review of this cozy and antique looking place. Diggin Cafe Delhi  Review

Diggin Cafe Delhi Review
Diggin Cafe Delhi Review

Apple Ginger Mint Smoothie: The smoothie is blend to perfection, it is smooth with out any lumps, nor it is very thin. The initial flavors are of ginger and mint, this some how reminded me of sugarcane juice with extra ginger and mint [In a good way, of course]. It leaves a refreshing ginger-mint flavor and isn’t repelling. Although it might not taste great with every dish.. But that shouldn’t stop you from trying this.

Price: Rs 185

Rating: 3.8/5

Strawberry Cheesecake Shake: This is like a dream come true, literally I’ve always wanted to make a shake out of my cheesecake and THIS is it. They’ve hit the cord right. This is literally like blended cheesecake all you have to do is sip away this awesomeness. Flavors of strawberry [obviously] dominate the drink with a punch of creaminess. This is a must try for people who like cheesecakes and strawberry flavor. The strawberry flavor doesn’t taste artificial [ Thankfully]. Although this might be too sweet for some people.

Price – Rs 165.

Ratings – 4/5

Diggin Special Salad: This salad is a  mix of apples, beetroot, lettuce,  Sun dried tomatoes and feta cheese. The dressing used is Honey, Mint Vinaigrette and Chilli. The Beetroot wasn’t roasted and was my least favorite in the salad. I liked that  the vegetables were fresh and crunchy. All over the salad was tasty [minus the beet]

Price: Rs 215

Rating: 3.8/5

Citrus Chicken Salad: This salad had  Chicken, orange, cherry tomatoes and lettuce.  I loved how soft and jiucy the chicken was. The dressing used was of orange vinagrette and complimented the overall taste of the salad. The lettuce was fresh and overall it tasted really refreshing.

Price: Rs. 215.

Rating: 3.9/5

Crispy Zucchini Fries: This is one of the highly recommended dishes at the diggin. Now We’ve all had french fries, this dish is a great break from those. The Zucchini is crispy and soft on the inside. It isn’t very oily either and the dip it comes with is a perfect combo. This is worth the hype and a must try. The quantity might be a lil turn off for some,  but this will float your boat in terms of taste and quality.

Price: Rs 185

Rating: 4/5

Cheesy Jalapeno Balls:  If by hearing this dish any pre-packed cheesy fry balls come to your mind, I’d suggest let them rest to peace. These are not even close to what you’ve had earlier. I was expecting some pre-packed Jalapeno balls which many restaurants serve [ Yep 😐 ] This my friend has really surprised me in the cheesiest way. The cheese balls are crispy – crunchy on the outside and are filled with cheese n jalapeno on the inside. The cheesy is hot and tasty! I really loved the combo of the dip and cheesy balls. Although the quantity could have been better.

Price: Rs 185

Rating: 4/5

Diggin Coffee: The coffee was strong and intense. The gelato scoop was barely there.  The espresso  is very strong bitter for beginners and occasional coffee drinkers. I used nearly 6 sugar packs and it still tasted bitter [ I usually add 1 – 2 tsp of sugar] . This wasn’t my favorite I’d say  not a fan of espresso   I’d suggest the shakes instead.

Price: Rs 125

Baked Penne Pasta: This is yet another of the “Diggin Favorites” . To begin with the pasta looks delicious but sadly for me , I felt the pasta was way too under cooked to a point that it tasted raw and not so pleasant. The cheese and the sauce were on point. The taste was really nice and overall if the pasta was well cooked I would have enjoyed it alot better.

Price: Rs 325

Rating: 3.8/5

Fish and Chips: The Fish was crispy on the outside and soft, juicy on the inside. Although most of the fish was way too oily to be edible, I had to skip it and stick to just fries. The fries weren’t very oily and tasted great. The dip provided goes very well with the overall combo.

Price: Rs 425.

Rating: 2.8/5

Vegetarian Lasagna:  The lasagna was cooked properly and tasted great. The only downside was that after a few bites the dish tastes pretty bland. It didn’t have enough cheese and lacked the required taste. It isn’t bad but there wasn’t anything great about it either. This is an optional dish to try, nothing thrilling about it, average I’d say.

Price: Rs 325

Rating: 3.3/5

Diggin’s Signature Ravioli: The Ravioli was tasty! The pasta was well cooked the stuffing was amazing, a combination on spinach, broccoli & ricotta cheese. A you could barely tell that it had these vegetables in it, which is amazing for people who are picky eaters or don’t like vegetables. You get all the goodness of the vegetables in amazing arrabita sauce which pairs great with the overall dish.

Price: Rs 345.

Rating: 4/5

Note: The garlic bread given isn’t actually the usual soft fluffy bread rather it is more like garlic toast, hard and crispy.

Pesto Pepper : The pizza was thin crust and baked to perfection. It was crispy towards the outer corner, And was sufficient for two. The pesto sauce tasted great with the roasted bell peppers. The sun dried tomatoes added a refreshing taste and were my favorite element, they added a punch of tangy-ness and the mozerella cheese was baked well. The overall taste was spicy and tangy and I’d say a good munch.

Price: Rs 325.

Red Velvet and Tiramisu The Red Velvet Cake was a piece of heaven, it was soft and fluffy. The cream was buttery and smooth. The overall taste was awesome. Although this can be a bit too sweet for some people. BUT in that case Tiramisu might just tickle your sweet tooth. It is the perfect blend of bitter coffee flavor with the sweet, smooth fluffy cream. The balance is just perfect and tastes great!

Price: Red velvet: Rs 165

Tiramisu : Rs 175

Rating: 4/5

Recommendation:  The dishes I’d highly recommend are Strawberry shortcake shake, Zucchini Fries, Cheesy Balls,  Ravioli, Red Velvet Cake, Tiramisu, Pizza, Chicken Salad!

My Experience: The chocolates are packed beautifully, they are quirky and fun to have and to gift.

The Quality of the chocolate is really good, it is smooth and crafted to perfection. I really am loving the quality of the dark chocolate. The individual flavors added, take it to a whole new level.

62% cocoa with Watapi Coffee

: This is a blend of dark chocolate with milled coffee beans. The added coffee drama is every coffee lovers dream! I really liked this one and it was the first to  RIP . Loved every piece of it. The quality of the coffee was amazing. Not at all over powering nor the beans were repelling. Every one on the team enjoyed this one the most!

62% cocoa with Guntur chilly

:  Chocolate – Chilli  = Explosion in your mouth. This looks like your regular dark chocolate BUT wait for it. right when you think you’ve had an amazing dark chocolate. This baby fires up, not in a scary way but surely noticeable. I really liked this one, though this wasn’t everyone’s piece  cup of tea chocolate.

62% Belgian Dark Chocolate Saffron Kahwa : This chocolate is a mix of kesar, cardamom, cinnamon… This reminded me of kashmiri food, for some reason. It has a very beautiful aroma and is delicious! It feels luxurious and is like a treat!

54% cocoa Black Pepper and Mango

: This tastes exactly like you would imagine it to. Aromatic, Black pepper dominant. It’s really different from the usual stuff and takes a while to adjust. But I was tempted to reach out for this again after a piece. The dried mango is an addition to the fun.

70% cocoa with Himalayan Pink Salt

: This has 70% cocoa which is awesome! When I initially took a bite there was a very mild saltiness and then the chocolate took over. Although majorly the flavor of the salt is dominated by the dark chocolate. I have nothing against this one. This is a refreshing flavor to try!

Ratings: 4.5 /5

Recommendations: I really am impressed with the quality of the dark chocolates. The chocolates are crafted to perfection and are a treat! There are 10 to choose from and most of them are refreshingly new flavors.  If you are a chocoholic and want to break free from the regular chocolates available in the market. Get these and satisfy your cravings!

Smoothie: Very Berry – This smoothie was berrylicious, I could taste lots of strawberries and blueberries these two were dominating. I loved the overall taste of this smoothie. It wasn’t too sweet, and was surely a delight. Rating: 4/5

Salad: Citrus Walnut – The chicken and vegetable were  fresh and juicy (chicken). The dressing was tangy lime, I was very happy to have a fresh salad, everything from scratch was fresh and light. For people craving a good fresh salad this is it!  Rating: 4/5.

The Smoothie Factory Review

Smoothie: Factory Original – This smoothie looks really orange in person, let me tell you don’t let that scare you. It does look like carrot smoothie, But its the exact opposite of anything you’d expect looking at it. It is mild, I could taste a mix of banana, strawberry, pineapple.. This again was really nice and yummy. I really liked their smoothies light and tasty. Rating 4/5.

Salad : Citrus Walnut – I loved the first sight of this one! Fresh vegetables , crispy walnuts and mild grated cheese . I was not blown away by the dressing though it was too tangy for my taste yet, I’d say this was hella good sista ! Rating: 4/5.

Crunchy Toasty – Cheese and Jalapeno : Okay so this dish was filled with jalapenos , yet it lacked cheese and the bread was not that great, it was rock hard and the taste was not that great. I would skip this and grab a flat bread or smoothie instead – Rating: 2.5/5

Focaccia Bread – Peri Peri :The focicca bread was of good quality, if you love spicy food this peri peri sandwich will surely help the itch. This was spicy.. The I really liked the texture of it. All over this was a good one. Yet again the cheese could have been a little better. Rating: 3.8/5.

Now, this is probably the most exciting part, they had frozen yogurt! Not your regular boring flavors but flavors like new york cheese cake, red velvet etc. I loved the fact that you get to make your own cup! you choose the toppings … so basically  its awesome! 😀 I was so happy to see something like this, I hope they have many more outlets sooner! Yet, the only hiccup was that the toppings weren’t very fresh Rating– 4.6/5.
