My Experience:

I’ve never owned a cover-girl product before, this is my first one, hence I was very excited to try this out. And I have mixed feelings about this one. I really like the shades in this quad except for the yellow one, though it works better wet. The sea green and cobalt blue are absolutely ahhmazing! I really love both of them.  The shades blue & green have good pay off and are easy to work with, they have a satin finish with minute shimmer with adds to the satin finish… Though the yellow and peach ones are not very pigmented. They don’t look tacky and are very wearable for summer and spring.  Its a 50-50 here, 2 shades are lovely and 2 are workable but not very a-m-a-z-i-n-g.

Pros:

Very Pretty shades.
Lovely Finish.
Easy to work with.
Blue and green shades have the best color pay off.
Comes with applicator.
Affordable.

Cons:
Not available in India.
The yellow and peach are not very well pigmented.
Discontinued, yet available online through amazon, drugstore etc
Parabens.

Ratings: 3.5/5

Recommendations: The Eye quad  has very pretty shades, it gives good finish and is easy to work with. The blue and green shades are very pretty, although the yellow and peach are a disappointment in terms of color pay off. Overall its a nice palette considering the price and when on the go.  I’d recommend this for the blue and green otherwise it can be a pass.

What’s your favorite eye quad on the shelves??

This beautiful Artiste Collection palette which helps create a full face all in one, with 6 merged eye shadows, two powder blushers and a contour shade and highlighter. Shades include shimmery merged tones for fashion-forward statement smokey eyes, with light and earthy naturals for an everyday look which can easily be transformed into an evening eye look. The two blushes include warm pink shades for a soft shimmer finish. Finally the contour and highlighter helps create a flawless sculpted natural glow. These rich, high-pigmented colors help achieve a stunning look for the summer
Packaging:
The Artiste palette is packed in a plastic compact which has a transparent lid to allow you to look at the shades. It also comes with a typical foam applicator and on the back of the palette each shade has a name. The packaging is sturdy, and is travel friendly.
Eye Shadows:
The palette contains 6 marbled eyeshadows -Pistachio (a light aqua shimmer shade with deeper aqua marbling), Mocca (a light cream toned highlight shade with coffee/ brownish marbling), Ice (a sea blue with sky blue marbling),Grape (a deep metallic purple with light blue marbling), Chocolate (a metallic deep bronze with ivory marbling) and  Cookie matte shade (a warm bronze with pink marbling)
The shades are well pigmented, the deeper tones provide the best color pay off,
Cookie and Chocolate are my personal favorites! All the colors are well pigmented and are build-able, though they do need an eye primer/base beneath.

Blush/Bronzer/highlighter
The Palette also comes in with two blushes, a bronzer and a highlighter.
The two blushes are a little powder, but definitely workable
Pink Sparkle is a bright coral than pink with a shimmery touch to it.
Primrose which is a neutral pink and is matte, this one is my favorite since it shows very well on the skin.
The bronzer is a matte bronzer which is a good contour shade; it’s a medium tone bronzer.
You also get a light pearl pink highlighter – known as the shimmer kiss, this is a very pretty highlighter, it adds a healthy glow to the face.

Swatches :

My favorites:
Eye Shadows – Cookie and Chocolate.
Blush- Primrose.
Highlighter- Shimmer Kiss.
PriceBuy from here in India, Way cheaper from MUA site.
Pros:
All in one palette.
Affordable.
Travel Friendly.
Good for Beginners.
Applicator provided is useful.
Cons:

A few shades are need to be built.
No mirror.
Recommendation– This is a travel friendly and on the go palette. It comes with 6 Eye shadows, 2 Blushes, 1 Bronzer, 1 Highlighter which is very convenient to travel compact. The given quality and quantity is also good for the price since it is available on discount online.  This is also very good for beginners.

Winter silver smokey eyes [Hooded eyes]

Heyyylloooo my beautiful people!! A very Happy new year to you guys……!! I wish all the sparkly, sweet, fun, cute, amazingg things for all of you! Thank YOU for joining me, Love you all!!
Today for the New year I decided to do a very winter-y kinda look, I went with a silver-bronze smokey eyes. I find silver to be gorgeous for winters so I went ahead and experimented with it…. 😀
Just being the crazy me 😉 😛

Excuse the hair I was too excited ^__^ 2014!!! 😉

Close up!
I zoomed in to kinda show what I did to achieve this look, I have hooded eyes.. So accordingly I filled in my eye lids,
Firstly I applied a nude base color, matching my skin. Then I applied the Silver eye shadow, focusing on the inner corners and center of the lid.

Then I applied the bronze on the outer corners. Now since I have hooded eyes I made sure that the darker eye shadow is blended properly and winged out [ blend it properly, leaving no harsh line]

Finish off the look by applying eye shadow on the bottom lash line…

Don’t forget the eyeliner and Mascara.

Voila! you’re done ^___^

For the rest of my face, I used a Peach cream blush to add that extra freshness and bronzer to enhance my cheeeeky bones 😉 for my lips I used a Nude shade lipstick ^_^

I hope you enjoyed the look …
Take care
P.S How was your new year’s day and eve?? 😀 What all did you guys do?? I baked! although not perfect.. but hey! I tried 😉

😛
