My Experience:

The Product comes in a sturdy tub, it’s travel friendly but not hygiene. The texture of the product creamy, it feels light and the consistency is very smooth. It absorbs quickly into the skin and doesn’t feel sticky or oily. The product has a herbal-ly smell, which isn’t over powering and doesn’t linger for too long.

On my skin the product absorbs quick and doesn’t feel sticky. It moisturizes my skin and nourishes it quite well. My skin is normal – combination, depending on the climate.

On my hair the product doesn’t feel sticky or weigh it down. It tames the fly-aways and feels good on the hair. I rub it in between my palms and then run my fingers on the bottom half of my hair. My hair is long thin and dry. [currently].

Overall I’d say this product works well. It is good for multitasking when travelling or to just keep things simple. I like that it is made of natural ingredients and does the job well.

Pros:

  • Moisturizing.
  • Multitasking.
  • Doesn’t weigh the hair.
  • Doesn’t feel sticky.
  • Nourishes.
  • Natural Ingredients.

Cons:

  • Packaging.

Rating: 4/5

Recommendation: If you are looking for a multitasking product for your skin and hair, which is natural and free of chemicals and parabens. Then you could give this a shot. It works well on both skin and hair and simplifies the routine.

My Experience:

The Wella Oil Reflections  comes in a glass bottle it looks pretty yet, it is not travel friendly. At the moment my hair is dry and  frizzy , my hair is naturally  thin and wavy. I use this after my shower when my hair is damp or on dry hair when I want it to look presentable. It works well for smoothening out frizz and makes them soft and manageable. It doesn’t weigh my hair down, which has been my concern with a lot of serums/oils that don’t work for thin hair. It smells really nice, I quite like it. It makes my hair smell really nice but doesn’t last long .. it fades away within minutes of application. The consistency of the Oil is thin and liquid-y. It applies really well and absorbs quickly. Although I’d say don’t over do the product, you need 1-2 pumps generally depending on your hair. Thicker/ longer hair would need more. I apply this to my lower half of the hair, avoiding the scalp region.

Rating: 4.5/5

Pros:

  • Makes hair manageable
  • Smells nice.
  • Spreads evenly on hair.
  • Absorbs quick.
  • Adds shine to hair.
  • Affordable.

Cons:

  • Not Travel Friendly.

Recommendation: If you are looking for a light weight nourishing oil/serum this might work for you, it makes hair manageable, tames frizz, adds shine and smells nice! It also has goodness of various oils like coconut/ avacado / macadamia etc. This works on my dry – thin hair. Highly Recommended!

Tocopheryl Acetate
A potent antioxidant that protects and conditions hair.

Price: 375 Rs. [Bare with me, will update the exact price :)]
My Experience: The serum is clear and light weight. It didn’t make my hair sticky or greasy since I have thin density, I have bad experience with a lot of  serums since they almost always weight down my hair or make it look like a mess. But this didn’t budge me much. This has a pleasant smell which doesn’t linger too long. It didn’t exactly repair or restore any damage. Yet it did tame  fly aways and frizzy hair. It also added a healthy shineRatings: 3.9/5

Recommendations: This is a good serum for daily usage , it is also suitable for thin hair or hair with light density. It does a good   job controlling frizzy hair and dry hair by adding shine, adding to overall appeal and making hair manageable.

What is you favorite hair serum?
